Coronavirus Pandemic in Japan 

In 2020, Japan declared a state of emergency covering the entire country as COVID-19 infections continued to spread. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, as of December 31, 2020, Japan had recorded 230,304 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 3,414 deaths.
